Vegetarian Protein Source – Great Diets to Stay Fit

We possess numbers of misconception regarding our food habits, as normally people think non-vegetarian eatables are the real sources of protein. This is just a myth, there are numerous vegetarian items, which are much more protein enriched. You can recall the famous cartoon character ‘Popeye’ who consumes spinach as a protein source. This is entirely true… leafy and green vegetables are great vegan protein sources. Other list of Vegetarian Protein Source includes lentils, fruits and oatmeal.

Though vegetarian sources are not taken as a complete source of protein, a combination of these eatables can be consumed for healthy life. Cereals and grains such as buckwheat, rye, corn, rice, pasta, nuts (almonds, walnuts & cashew) are also recommended as Vegetarian Protein Source. Other suggested alternatives for vegan protein are soy products, seeds and nutritional yeast. Most importantly, it is observed that vegan resources provide more protein in comparison of meat, as 100 grams of lentil salad is more nutritive than similar quantity of chicken.
